Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toniz Collins is also referred to as Antonietta Gonzales-Collins in the US and Mexico, is an American-Mexican sportscaster. She is the host of SportsNation and serves as a SportsCenter anchor. She joined ESPN in 2016. was a part of ESPN. Her mother is Maria Antonieta Collins, a journalist on television. Antonietta Collins has been bi-lingual since nine years old a useful talent that enabled her to get her first job working as an assistant to the producer with Univision in Miami and allowed her to be a part of the production team for national shows like Nuestra Belleza Latina, Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud and Primer Impacto. Then she was promoted to reporter for The CBS St. Petersburg affiliate following that. In 2009 she moved into Rio Grande Valley, Texas to work as a news reporter for The Spanish station KNVO TV 48 Univision and Fox2 News. Antonietta Collins was a native of the city of Veracruz, Mexico. Eventually, they settled in Mexico City and she was born there on November 22 the 22nd of November, 1985. She also has a younger sibling. In 1992 her family left Mexico and moved to Miami. She divorced her parents soon after and, in 1995, she was married an naval designer by the name of Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo died in 2006 due to kidney cancer. When on vacation, Antonietta stayed at the house of her sister Canton Ohio. Her older Collins sibling had recently gotten an offer to work. Antonietta was an incoming senior in high school however, she had a clear idea of her career goals. She visited Mount Union University to determine if they suited her. She loved the campus. It also gave her the program she was interested in. She graduated from school and was went to the university as a major in media studies. The relationship she formed was long-lasting with her teacher Mark Bergmann who was the supervisor for WRMU 91.1 FM, of which she was an affiliate. It was he who inspired her confidence and whose passion for Journalism deeply touched her. As a result, she strived to fulfill his expectations, never letting him down.
